Wondering what the changes in health insurance mean for you? This free workshop will deal with key health insurance terms & concepts, thinking about your health care needs, comparing policies, the new Health Insurance Marketplace, premium tax credits and other cost reductions. It is provided by the Iowa State University Extension office and Page County Extension. Join us in the library auditorium to share holiday treats and recipes. Bring 4 dozen cookies - 3 doz. to share and 1 doz. for taste testing that afternoon. Registration is required, and you will need to submit your recipe to Carrie by Fri. 12/13 so it can be included in the booklet you will get to take home.

Homebound Delivery Service
Starting in the month of October 2010, the Shenandoah Public Library will offer homebound delivery of library materials to patrons in Shenandoah city limits who can't get to the library because of temporary hardship due to major illness, an ongoing need due to physical handicap, long-term illness, or homebound seniors. You will receive personalized visits, no overdue fines, longer lending periods (8 weeks), and delivery right to your front door. Delivery will be made on the 1st and/or 3rd Friday of the month, and participants will need to call in their requests by 5pm on the Wednesday prior to delivery. Librarians will work with you to select books that are to your taste. Call Carrie or Liz at the library for more information or to sign up! 712-246-2315
