The Story Garden
provides patrons with a quiet place to read.
Visit the Children's Department at Shenandoah Public Library. You'll find picture books, magazines, books on tape and parenting resources. When not choosing books, children can spend time playing on one of three game computers. Patrons can use our two public access computers downstairs to look for books on our electronic catalog system. Whether you're a parent or a child, you'll enjoy the Story Garden. It's a comfortable place to enjoy your stay at SPL.
Parent Resources
Parents utilize this special section in the Children's Department for
information on special needs, discipline and health. You can also
check-out the Hooked on Phonics reading program.
Game Computers
Children frequently use four game computers located in the Children's
Department. All of the computers are PC's.
Children can play a variety of educational games by reserving these
computers for a half -hour time slot. Please call 712-246-2624 to reserve a
time.
